About Our Sealing Film
Sealing film is a thin film material used to seal the mouth of a beverage cup. It prevents the drink spilling, and blocks dust, flying insects from outside. When in use, we cover it on the mouth of the cups and heat it through a heat sealing machine. It'll fuse with the PE coating material on the cup mouth edge, to form a firm seal.
Why Do We Use Sealing Film?
Strong Adaptability
Made of flexible plastics such as PE, the sealing film can stretch slightly. It covers drink cups of various sizes.
Anti-Spill
It's able to completely seal the cups containing drinks with the sealer. Even if the cup falls on the table, the liquid inside will not splash around.
Save Money
The film costs about half that of plastic cup lids. It saves you money when you need to seal cups for long run.
Eco Protection
With a simple film structure, the film uses less plastic in production. And it can be compressed tightly in recycle, and easier to be processed in a centralized manner.
Materials Types of Sealing Film
Plastic sealing films come in a variety of sizes, styles, and they're mainly made of materials as followings:
PP Sealing Film
PP sealing film is the most common type of film and is only used for PP plastic cups. It is made of PP and is best suited for cups with a 95 mm mouth diameter. It adheres very well to the cup, and hard to remove after sealing.
PE Sealing Film
PE film is suitable for paper cups with a PE coating on the inner wall, and can also be used for most (but not all) PP cups. Its adhesion is not as good as PP film, so it can be easily removed for secondary sealing.
PET-ES Sealing Film
PET-ES sealing film is the most versatile type. It is suitable for most containers such as PP cups, PET plastic cups, paper cups, and PLA cups.
Paper Sealing Film
The surface of paper sealing film needs to be coated with PE coating to make it waterproof. It is used to seal PE paper cups as well as PP cups. It is most commonly used with 90 mm sealers or 95 mm sealers with 90 mm adapter rings.
